Spring Show Classes

Only open to CSGGA Members to enter
Our Spring Show has had to be cancelled for 2020 and 2021 but we've gone virtual
Our Spring Show is held in April each year.  All members are encouraged to enter at least one class and we hope everyone will find something they can enter, perhaps a beautiful tulip or a stick of rhubarb, a foliage pot plant or a flower arrangement.  While some classes are formally judged, its about entering for fun, as well.

Cash prizes are given for the top three entries in each class and the Edwards Cup is awarded to the member with the most points overall.  Another highlight is the raffle where one lucky member wins two tickets to Chelsea Flower Show.

Hints and Tips

  • This Show is only open to CSGGA Members.
  • Members may set up from 7.30 pm.  Judging starts at 8.00 pm
  • When you arrive, a committee member will give you an exhibition card for each of your entries.
  • Place your exhibit and card in the appropriate class section, with your name facing down.
  • If you know the name of your plant or flowers label them clearly, other members do like to know
  • Make sure you only exhibit the correct number of stems - don't add an extra "just in case"!
  • Its a good idea to bring more than you need in case of accidents in transit.
  • Also check your pot size and don't exceed it!
  • Arrange your exhibit as attractively as possible and aim for uniformity if showing 3 specimen stems.
