1. Click on the relevant class above. 2. When it opens click on “Add photo” on the left hand side of the in a green box – this will open up a form 3. Click in the box that says CSGGA member – unless you’re not! 4. Add your email address and make sure it’s correct! 5. Click in the box that asks you to confirm it's your photo so the tick appears – I’ve noticed it sometimes looks as if there is already a tick but make sure it is a solid green tick 6. Select and click on your photo – you might have had to download it from your camera first but from a smart phone you should be taken straight to the file with your photos. 7. Make sure there is the file name in the box 8. Enter your name in the title box – this is a new request as I discovered that if someone else has used the same title ie “tulips” it can’t be used a second time and then won’t upload photo. 9. Click to accept the privacy notice 10. Save and you should be returned to the class page BUT your photo won’t appear until I approve it which may take up to 24 hours. 11. As a final check, if you are in any doubt check just before 6.00 pm on Sunday evening and if it’s not there, send it to [email protected] but only as a very last resort, please.
Rules and Guidance
Please only submit two entries per person per class.
Display your entries as you would have done for the Spring Show. So, if it states 3 stems with own foliage this means you should pick your best stems and display them in a vase.
Although this is not a photography competition, try to ensure your photograph shows your entry at its best. It might be a fantastic specimen but if the photo is too small others won't see how great it is! Photograph what makes it special, whether its the flowers, the leaves or the bark. See below for some examples taken from Burgess Hill Spring Show 2018 and the RHS.
This is an experiment and we are all "learning on the job" so inevitably there will be teething troubles, please bear with us if we have to change how it works going forward.
VOTING - week commencing 18th May May 2020 Each class is linked to the appropriate page - just click on it
You can vote as a guest, no need to register, though you have to include your email address
Review all the entries and decide which you want to vote for, then click on the small circle beneath each photo to cast a vote. I don’t think you can change your mind once you have voted!
You have 3 votes for each Class except Class 3 where you only have 1 vote as there are only 5 entries!
You can only cast one vote for each entry.
For the classes where you are allowed 3 votes, if you only want to use 1 or 2 votes, that's fine.
Each member has a vote provided they each use a different email address – no good for those of you who share an email address, sorry.
The winner will be the entry with the most votes
The results for each class will be published in the next newsletter and on our website.
