12th   January: Timothy Walker - Bordering on Insanity

Tim’s talk looks exclusively at the herbaceous border covering the principles & practicalities to create a border that is interesting all year round.

9th February:  Gardening for Dry Conditions - Terry Cann
 
Terry will explain how seasonal climate patterns are affecting garden practices and how to design the garden to meet these conditions.

9th March:  Acers and their Companions - George Lockwood

George will look at Acers for small gardens and appropriate companion plants to grow with them 

13th  April : Spring Show and Talk by Tom Cole -  How to Enhance your Exhibits

A popular speaker with CSGGA, Tom will advise on how our show entries could be even better!

11th  May: Hanging Basket Demonstration - Alison Pau

Alison, the owner of Rowan Nurseries is coming to give us a practical demonstration on how to plant a hanging basket.  Learn the hints and tips from a professional. 

8th June - Garden Visit 

This evening will be spent exploring a local garden - details to follow .......  but strawberry tarts and bubbles will be on offer!

13th  July:  Gardening without Plastic - Sally Nex

Sally will be joining us via zoom, to tell us how we can alter our gardening to use less plastic and promote a healthier environment in the garden.  Details to follow​

10th  August: Is Kitchen Gardening Really Worth It? - Hazel Roberts
​

By popular demand, Hazel Roberts is returning to explain how to rotate and plant our kitchen garden and allotments.

14th September:  Winter Wonderland - Amber Hine

​Amber will focus on the joy of the winter garden and what plants can be added to make the most of what can be a barren time.

12th October: AGM and Members Autumn Show

​Bring along your dahlias, apples and pot plants and enter into a little light-hearted garden rivalry!


9th November: Nature  Friendly Gardening - Maureen Rainey
​

Maureen will be giving this talk via zoom and will discuss nature friendly gardening for all which will focus on all aspects of how we can work with nature and how nature will repay us.

 14th December - Christmas Party
Our  annual Christmas party gives us an opportunity to reflect on the year and share the evening with friends and fellow gardeners. A seasonal dinner will form part of the evening, together with quizzes and a raffle.
