Probably not! We are checking each entry before they are finally uploaded onto the website to ensure that they are in the correct class and, most importantly, not offensive. This may take up to 24 hours depending on how busy the moderator is!
If you can't see them after 24 hours then possibly something has gone wrong, so try again. If still not showing within 24 hours, send to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll upload them.
Are there any rules on the background for the photographs?
There are no rules! Choose whatever you think shows your entry to its best advantage.
How should I display my entry?
Follow the class requirements. So, if the class is for 3 daffodils with own foliage, then pick the daffodils, put them in a vase with their leaves but no need to photograph the vase! If the class is for a pot plant show the pot as the size of pot will have been specified. If it's a plant that has given you joy, then anything goes, but your photo should show why it is special!
How many entries can I submit?
Each person can enter up to 2 entries per class.
Why are only some of classes from the Spring Show included?
To keep the contest going for a while, we’re going to add between 4 and 6 classes each week - so from Sunday 29th March it will be tulips, flowering shrubs and possibly a flower arrangement, then the following week it will be something different.
There will always be the special Class 17 "A plant that has given me joy" but this will be judged on a weekly basis, so that as we go through the weeks we can see different plants as they come into their best.
If you have any classes that you want to suggest, please do so.
