Kelmarsh Hall is an elegant Palladian house built in 1732, set in the Northamptonshire countryside. Its celebrated gardens were shaped by three influential 20th-century designers: Nancy Lancaster, Norah Lindsay and Geoffrey Jellicoe. Formal terraces, chestnut avenues and a lakeside setting lead into a richly varied garden, from pastel sunken beds and rose gardens to a dramatic long border and a vibrant triangular walled garden filled with flowers, fruit, vegetables and renowned dahlias.
Coton Manor is also famed for its spectacular dahlia displays and was named Nation’s Favourite Garden in 2019. This tranquil English garden, lovingly maintained by owner Susie Pasley-Tyler, offers abundant roses, colourful herbaceous borders and a formal herb garden, making it a perfect summer retreat. Both gardens feature cafes, Coton Manor has a shop, and a plant centre.
